Altitude Adventure High Ropes Course encourages everyone to have a go…

Do I need to be fit?
You do need a degree of physical fitness but it’s probably easier than you might think. It might reassure you to know that it is very rare for a person to stop because they weren’t fit enough.

Are there any restrictions?
If you have any concerns about medical conditions then please give us a call on 01-8622000. Due to safety harness size limits, you must be older than 7yrs of age – we do not have any maximum age limit! There is also a maximum waist measurement on the harnesses of 110cm or 43 inches. The activities are not suitable for pregnant women due to safety harness design and potential risks due to physical challenges. Please see our Terms & Conditions and Disclaimer & Medical Consent Forms for more information.

I’m afraid of heights!
The courses are designed to help you build your confidence as you go along. Here at Altitude Adventure High Ropes Course we try to help people to conquer their fear of heights. Why not try it – you might surprise yourself.

What should I wear?
Leave the designer outfits at home! No flip flops or sandals are allowed on the course – Runners or ankle-supporting boots are perfect and will help with your footing on the course. For your enjoyment and safety, we recommend loose and comfortable clothing but skirts are a definite no! You’re going to be high in the air after all. Check out the weather forecast for the day and dress accordingly. Remember to bring a hair tie to keep long hair back.

When should I get there?
Set your alarm clock! It’s important to arrive at least 15 minutes before your allocated time slot as the course may be busy. If you are late, we will do all we can to get you into another slot but we cant always promise this, especially on busy days, plus no refunds can be given. The best thing to do is leave in plenty of time.

What If I fall?
Slips are quite common but don’t worry that’s half the fun! If your loose your footing, then your safety harness will prevent you from falling, allowing you to get back on and continue.

How long does it take?
This varies dramatically on your level of confidence, people in front of you and the number if people on the course. As a general guide however, we recommend you allow up to 2hrs for you to experience all the elements you have booked. On quieter days, if you get around much quicker then we simply let you have another go…

What happens in bad weather?
The great Irish weather likes to keep us on our toes but luckily Altitude Adventure High Ropes Course is an all weather course and you can have just as much fun in the rain as you can in the sun. No refunds are given if you have booked and paid but choose not to go on the course due to bad weather. On rare occasions we may need to close the course at short notice due to lightning or extremely high winds for safety reasons. Should this happen, we will contact you as soon as possible, book you in for an alternative day or fully refund your booking.

What if I cannot complete the whole course?
Instructors will always be on hand to help you if you have difficulty on any part of the course. Unfortunately no refunds are given if you fail to complete the course.

Do I need to book in advance?
We strongly recommend that you book in advance as we get very busy, especially during peak periods, such as weekends and school holidays. Bookings can be made directly online at www.xtreme.ie.

Is it safe?
In one word – YES! All you need to do is follow our simple training instructions and you’ll have a safe and fun time. Before you get going, you’ll receive a full safety briefing and then you’re off! The course does however, consist of fun but challenging obstacles so there s a risk of minor injury (e.g. bruises and scrapes).

Can my son/daughter go round the course alone?
Yes. However, under 16’s must have an adult (18+) with them on site. But it is so much more fun for them when their parents/guardian joins in the fun too!
